Grey Baker | @gbaker11

Co-Creator, Deviser, Performer, Costume DesignerGrey Baker (they/them) is a queer theatre creator and performer based in Toronto, and is thrilled to be making their international theatre debut at Edinburgh Fringe! Having crafted this show for over a year, Grey is proud to be sharing such authentic piece of love, belonging, and connection with such a brilliant team. Love, connection, and belonging reach beyond the boundaries of gender and sexuality, and in these trying times, we need to lean on each other more than ever. If you're looking for more, you can also catch Grey in Venue 13's Luscinia! Grey encourages you to continue to support theatre by emerging artists, and hopes you enjoy the show!

charlie vanstone | @charliegvanstone

Co-Creator, Deviser, Performer, Sound Designercharlie vanstone (they/them) is a trans & queer toronto-based theatre creator and performer. they are absolutely thrilled to be taking define queerness to the edinburgh fringe festival and making their international theatre debut. charlie is currently a devised theatre student at york university. they would like to thank york theatre for giving them the opportunity to bring this work overseas and their incredible team for all the hard work that went into creating this show.

Sean French | @morfborf

Devising Director, "Interviewer Voice"Sean French (he/him) is a creator and performer based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is also a fourth year Acting & Performance student specializing in Devised Theatre at York University, and is super excited to be continuing his role as Devising Director for Define Queerness! Sean loves devised theatre, verbatim theatre, and gay people, so he is super grateful for the opportunity to work on a show that includes all of these things! Although he sadly cannot be in Edinburgh to watch the run of the show, he hopes that those who do have the opportunity to enjoy it can sense all the love and care that was put into the piece.

Keara Hicks | @keara.hicks

Stage ManagerKeara Hicks (she/her) is a current Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies MA student at York University, where she is researching Sustainable Costume Practices, Archival Practices, and Historical Costuming. She is thrilled to be working on Define Queerness as a Stage Manager. Some past credits include
Production Stage Manager for Cooo (WeeFestival), Production Coordinator for WeeFestival 2025 and 2026, and Stage Manager of People, Places, & Things (Theatre@York).
When not locked in the library, you can find her in a rehearsal studio with an excel sheet or hunched over her sewing machine. She would like to thank Charlie and Grey for including her in the project. She hopes everyone enjoys the show!

Claire Timmins | @clairet1mmins

Set Designer/BuilderClaire (they/them), is helping to Define: Queerness by taking the set global! Your fav multi media artist is super excited to continue expanding their artistic scope into theater as well as shout out their Scottish roots by sending a little piece of their love there! Claire is super excited to continue to share some very lovely queer love stories and as always, be well and be swell!

Bella Bellisario | @bellabelli00

Lighting DesignerBella (she/her) is a Theatre production student at York University. She is very excited to be apart of the team. Bella is currently specializing in lighting, and this is her first time as a designer. Some previous credits included YorkU’s productions of, People, Places and Things, Much Ado about Nothing, She kills Monsters, as well as YorkU’s Playground festival. She would like to thank the Define Queerness team for giving her this opportunity to be part of such an amazing experience. Enjoy the show.

AJ White | @aj_white18

DramaturgAj White (he/him) is a fourth year devised theatre student in YorkU’s theatre program. He is super excited to be back working with the Define Queerness team, and to help bring this show to Edinburgh Fringe! Some recent credits of his include In The Face of This (Theatre@York), Raccacloon (Playdough Productions), and The Evolutionary and Inescapable Rotting of Girlhood (Good Grief Theatre). You can also catch him acting in Luscina (Ars Longa), also playing at Venue 13.
